Luis our Land Rover Defender built in 2005 Limited Edition (last TD5 model) - Partners and details
We took our time with the remodel. Every year, we took a short trip to try out everything and learn something new. The following companies and products contributed to the success:
KA Mobile: Mr. Kappler advised us on all topics and was always available in emergencies. We had the roof tent and conversion done at KA Mobile (interior, electrical system - second battery, additional compartment, and many other small items).
Howling Moon:- we searched for a long time, but finally decided on the Howling Moon Stargazer (link Howling Moon). The size 140x200 is sufficient for us. The big advantages are the covered entrance and the windows in the roof. We got the tent fromKA-Mobilenear Stuttgart.
So far, it's worked very well, even though the tarpaulin is always a nuisance. But it's watertight!
We use the normal mattress and a 3D mesh mattress base 10 mm.
Ex-Tec: the chassis (Ex-Tec Koni Suspension II) we have from Ex-Tec - great advice and it's really true, the Landy drives completely differently, a new comfort experience
Furthermore, we moved the spare wheel to the hood (the old 2.5 diesel must have an advantage)
Nakatanenga: For the many small and large things. We always felt very well looked after and advised. Everything fits perfectly, arrives on time, and any questions are answered quickly. We also like the many ideas and suggestions that the colleagues at Nakatanenga generate.
GMB mount: We've taken advantage of some of GMB Blechbearbeitung's many great ideas. We installed the additional compartment in the fender and the additional tank, which is particularly helpful on our journey.
All-wheel drive office: And finally, we have to mention the Allrad-Kontor. Whenever it comes to Britpart parts, they're the right place to go. Among many other things, the new brake discs and pads from Britpart deserve special mention. EBC is the magic word; the braking effect is much better than the originals.link...)
